USC Weightlifting Cup for beginners

• Thursday, April 10th, 19:00-21:00, USC Universum weightlifting area
• Weigh-in and warm-up available from at 18:00.
• Sign up via the webshop. Participation costs €3 for category 1 members and €5 for category 2 and 3 members.
• The event is exclusively for USC members. Participants of all levels are welcome, the competition is very suitable for beginners!
• Singlet is optional ;)

What can I expect?

• The first lift will start promptly at 19:00, so make sure you’re present before 18:30 to weigh in and possibly begin your warming up.
• A weightlifting competition consists of two events: the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. A competition always starts with the Snatch as the first event.
• Each participant gets three attempts per event to set a weight record. The highest weight achieved in each event counts toward the final score.

• After those 4 hours you deserve a drink, it’s on the house.
• During the zumbathon we’ll also take good care of you with plenty of sports drinks and bananas.

Adventure Race Amsterdam 2025

• In teams of 4, you’ll do different tasks and challenges. Navigation, mountainbiking, crazy special tasks, canoeing, you name it.
• The Adventure Race Amsterdam (ARA) is a 14 hour race.
• Anyone can join: you really don’t have to be super fit or know Google Maps by heart. As long as you have a team of 4 (and are ok with pulling an all-nighter…).
• ARA is organized by ASAC and USC.
• Date and time: ARA starts on Friday 13 June at sunset, you’ll finish around 14 hours later.
• Costs: €160,- per team (€40,- per person). Including nice surprises along the way and lunch at the finish!
