This week’s trainer is… Nynke van den Heuvel!
1: When did you start working at USC?
Since one and a half year. Before I started working at USC, I did an internship here to obtain my fitness and personal training license.
2: If we can’t find you, at what USC location should we start our search? And what do you like about that location?
The only USC location I work at is ClubWest, because my study and training track are based there as well. And the thing that I like the most about ClubWest is the informal atmosphere. We’re smaller than big fitness companies, and that’s why our relationships with the members are more close.
3: A sports career is often characterized by lots of highs and lows. What is your most memorable highlight
For now, it’s my place on the podium at the National Championships Long jump. But that’s not my main highlight yet!😉
4: Is there something maybe not a lot of people at USC know about you?
I’m not a parttime Uber driver like my lovely colleague Glen, but I am a remarkably good planner.😉 At the moment, I’m finishing my studies and doing a 40h week internship. And I also train 7 till 9 times a week.
5: What is your best characteristic as a trainer?
Dedication. That characteristic probably comes from my sports career. I always want to get the best out of the USC members and I put a lot of time and energy in it. That’s why I try to variate in my classes and set a certain goal too. I always say: do it right, or just don’t. :)
6: What accomplishment are you most proud of as a trainer?
I feel very proud when I see progress at the people in my group fitness classes. Their eagerness to learn gives me a lot of energy as well!
