Shorinji Kempo
Shorinji Kempo is a modern Japanese art of defense based on Zen Buddhist philosophy. It focuses on realistic self-defense, dynamic meditation and developing physical and mental balance and fitness.
What to expect
- You will learn the basics of the training structure of Shorinji Kempo and its philosophical approach.
- The focus will be on mutual cooperation, and developing awareness between body and mind.
Introduction classes last two hours each and are taught by Shorinji Kempo Sensei Jaap Stahlie.
Classes will take place in the Dojo at USC Universum and start at 10 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.
