Meet Jazz!
1. Since when do you work at USC?
I started doing an internship at USC. My assignment was researching the possibilities AUAS students have to do their Personal Training internship at USC. After a few months of doing my own internship, I got asked to do some group classes. I ended up liking it very much, and I eventually was offered a contract at USC!
2. At what USC location should we start our search if we can’t find you?
You can find me at ClubWest almost everyday. If I’m not working, I’m training. And if I’m not training, I’m chilling in the lobby with my colleagues. Sometimes I feel like I’m more at ClubWest than I’m at home.😉 I often say that I live at ClubWest and only go home to get some sleep.
3. What do not a lot of people at USC know about you?
A lot of colleagues don’t know that I used to do musical theater. Besides my name, I really like dancing and singing.
4. What is the most memorable highlight of your sports career?
When I’m talking about sports in general, my highlight is winning the American Football championship in the Netherlands and the Benelux. I play American Football at the Amsterdam Crusaders!🏈 With my fitness career, my best highlight is getting a sponsorship from a meal-prep company that provides healthy meals for me to support my fitness goals.
5. What is your best characteristic as a trainer?
I think that’s a difficult question to answer about myself. What I would say is that I try not to overcomplicate training in the gym.
6. What accomplishment as a trainer are you most proud of?
During my time as a trainer I’m proud of a lot of things. But if I have to pick one thing, I would say helping people that aren’t really into training, to still enjoy their exercises.
