Fencing at USC
You can do fencing at Universum, with your martial arts membership.
There are training sessions at different levels.
With your martial arts membership you can also join the training sessions of all other martial arts.
No experience? Do a beginners course fencing first.

you’re stuck with us for a year, after which you can cancel your membership monthly.

a little more expensive but a lot more flexible, this membership can be canceled monthly from scratch.

15x entry to a sport in the passe-partout, to be used within 6 months.
BEGINNERS COURSE (see subscribe)
learn the ins and outs of fencing in 9 weeks/classes.
Making a reservation
- You need a reservation for every visit to USC, with the exception of course classes.
- Make a reservation in the timetable on the martial arts page.
- Read all reservation and house rules thoroughly before coming to USC! We can only keep things safe together.

Wear and gear
All fencing wear and materials are provided for. Please bring trousers, shirt and clean indoor sneakers.
The USC instructor for fencing is Daniël Nivard. As a Maître d’Escrime (Level 4), he holds the highest fencing instructor degree offered by the Royal Dutch Fencing Association. Next to his work training upcoming talent for the fencing association, Daniel Nivard also runs the company DNCoaching (www.dncoaching.nl) to promote fencing to as many people as possible. 2nd instructor is Christian Jelders, an épée specialist.
Student Fencing club Esprit

Are you a sports fanatic? Are you interested in various sports? Then the USC passe-partout is the right thing for you! Note that while fencing is part of the passe-partout, you can only join trainings after completing an introduction course.
