At the USC we practise kyukoshinkai karate according to the semi-contact rules of the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the Karate-Do Club Netherlands. This style is practised worldwide.
You can do karate at Universum, with your martial arts membership.
There are training sessions at different levels.
With your martial arts membership you can also join the training sessions of all other martial arts.

Practising Karate can be divided into three disciplines:
For the first (trial) training loose sports wear will do. After that a combat sports suit is compulsary. Ask your instructor which suit you need. Karate suits and – fists are for sale at the Universum sports desk.
The USC instructors for Karate are Robbert Houtman and Jaap de Vries. Classes are supervised by Jaap de Vries, 4th dan and 1st dan kobudo. He is also a federation examinator.
